This time last year I was on my way to southern Italy for a photo assignment like no other – a 4 day cattle drive from the region of Puglia to neighbouring Molise, moving livestock from winter to summer pastures. An ancient tradition that lives on in many regions of Italy today, known as the ‘Transumanza’.
